The author is honest about the book not being the best for novice bakers, however, the description of the final projects along with step by step instructions are helpful. I appreciate that there is a clear representation on the skill level required for a particular recipe and yet there is no condescending attitude about taking an easier route. The recipes themselves cause a reminiscent state of mind, cookies from childhood. I am anxious to try several of them but first intend to enjoy the commaraderi presented in the book.”
