They say that only two groups of people give free samples away: drug dealers and fudge makers. It isn\u2019t quite true. Our friend Jean-Marc Chatellier offers free samples of this ultimate butter cake at his famous bakery in the riverside township of Millvale, PA. But the logic is the same in all three cases: one taste and you\u2019re hooked. The only difference is this: Breton Shortbread<\/u> a\/k\/a Butter Cakes<\/u> a\/k\/a Gateau Breton<\/u> beats them all when served with a dollop of cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche and a berry or two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This recipe went in and out of Volume I for ages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
